A well-deserved recognition for a visionary leader! Siddharth Balachandran, a Dubai-based Indian investor, philanthropist, and entrepreneur, has been honoured with the prestigious Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Medal for Philanthropy.

This recognition was awarded by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in acknowledgment of Balachandran’s outstanding contributions to charitable and humanitarian work in the region. Balachandran, who serves as the Executive Chairman and CEO of Buimerc Corporation, has been deeply involved in social and environmental initiatives across the UAE and India.
His philanthropic efforts include supporting global humanitarian projects led by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, such as the Mothers’ Endowment and Fathers’ Endowment, which focus on rebuilding and empowering communities. Additionally, through the Buimerc India Foundation, he has spearheaded landmark projects in India, including mangrove restoration in Kerala, forest rehabilitation in Wayanad, and supporting elephant rescue efforts in Mathura.
