To support and preserve these invaluable art forms, Buimerc India Foundation (BIF) has partnered with various communities. These initiatives are dedicated to supporting the artisans and nurturing arts and crafts sectors of India.
BREATHING LIFE INTO STONE (SCSVMV)

Where there is now the joyful ring of chisels hitting stone, there was once the silent heartbreak of a dying craft. “We are no longer watching our heritage fade away because a sacred sanctuary has risen to save our dreams. For generations, India's ancient stone-carving traditions defined the very soul of our land, yet we watched in despair as this timeless art form neared the brink of extinction. The Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Viswa Mahavidyalaya, together with the Buimerc India Foundation, chose to safeguard this sacred legacy. By establishing the Shilpa Patashala in Kanchipuram and reviving the ancient Gurukulam system, they opened the doors of this traditional knowledge to passionate learners from diverse backgrounds. Master Sthapathis now provide free training, nurturing the next generation of artisans and ensuring this divine art continues to flourish.”

Through the partnership between BIF and SCSVMV, a permanent sanctuary for learning has been established, protecting India's timeless sculptural heritage while giving young artisans purpose, opportunity, and the pride of carrying this legacy into the future.

“We are now a youth brigade thanks to India's resilient and oldest martial legacy. Over 450 of us are actively building physical strength and mental clarity together. We had felt trapped in a loop of digital noise, losing our physical health and direction to endless screen time. Like many of our peers, we lacked discipline and felt vulnerable to modern anxieties and distractions, disconnected from our own potential. The Buimerc India Foundation and the Kadathanadan Kalari Foundation introduced Kalaripayattu to our community. On the training floor, instructors gave us a safe space, replacing digital traps and substance risks with sacred martial discipline, self-defence, and mindfulness.”

“For generations, we have lived alongside the deep woods of Kerala and Karnataka, knowing in our hearts that our forests are not empty spaces. They are the sacred final resting places of our ancestors, cradling secrets from thousands of years ago ancient stone burials, rock paintings, and pottery hidden beneath the green canopy. Nature itself stood as a shield, protecting our ancestral memories from the bulldozers and concrete of modern cities. Yet, a silent fear remained because our history was never officially recorded or studied, leaving it invisible to the law and a fear that our children would never get to discover their roots.
In our hour of anxiety, the Centre for Interdisciplinary Archaeological Research (CIAR) under Ashoka University, together with the Buimerc India Foundation, stepped onto our soil to answer our silent prayers. They saw our forests not only as wilderness but as living archives of India's soul. Bringing advanced scientific research into the sandalwood forests of Marayoor and the deep valleys of Bandipur and Silent Valley, they created a lifeline for our forgotten heritage.”

Craft Sustainability Incubation
Program Overview
BIF-IIM Partnership: Buimerc India Foundation (BIF) has partnered with the Indian Institute of Management, Udaipur, to launch a three-month incubation program to support 30 early-stage social enterprises in the arts and handicrafts sector.
To accelerate the growth of ten early-stage social enterprises through custom-designed workshops, continuous mentoring, and cross-learning from industry experts.
Enhance digital readiness capabilities among artisans to scale their businesses effectively in the modern marketplace.
The program aims to provide entrepreneurs and artisans with valuable market access opportunities by establishing procurement relationships with a network of corporates, designers, and brand partners.

enterprises with strategic investors, ensuring sustainable financial growth.
Leverage craft to increase gender equity, promote economic inclusion, and ensure the preservation and appreciation of cultural heritage.
Program Structure:
A 15-day residential program spread across four months at IIM
Udaipur provides intensive training, tools, and resources.

Four months of coaching and mentoring from domain experts, craft leaders, and business mentors to guide entrepreneurs in scaling their businesses.

The program culminates in a 'pitch day,' where participants present their ventures to an expert panel, including angel investors and venture capital firms.
Pitch Day
Upon graduation, the Incubation Centre continues to support selected enterprises for an additional twelve months without any additional cost.
